Odd Error During Install (Invalid Token)
The error goes as follows
Lines 6-9 of my make.cong fileCode:!!! Invalid token (not "=") !DOCTYPE !!! PArseError: Invalid token (not "=" ): /etc/make.conf: line 8 !!! Incorrect multiline literals can cuase this. Do not use them.
The line starting with <!DOCTYPE is the line 8, ive googled this error, but to no avail. I would switch back to the gentoo 2004.1, but this is all being done remotly, and i don't have access to the machine, someone set up sshd, then left. Any insite? at least as to what the error might mean more accuratly?Code:MAKEOPTS="-j2" <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html140/loose.dtd"> <html><head> <META name="Author" content="Antonin Sprinzl">

I can't imagine what has posesed you to include HTML markup in the make.conf.. remove lines that include HTML
