    Apache2 is crashing


    Our company owns a pretty big web site. It has a dedicated server, it works ok, but from time to time apache2 just crashes. Here is a cut from the error_log:

    Could it crash because of the MaxClients setting?

    yes it can be , your site appers under too much load, try protecting it by monitoring log, tune it by enabling keep alive
    meanwhile try increasing the maxclients
