problem with 2.6.8 kernel

i have the 2.6.8 kernel running but at boot time i get this error message several times:

QM_MODULE not found

what is this QM_MODULE and where can i compile it into the kernel.
i searched every option but without success.

install module-init-tools, this should fix your problem.

Yep, all you'll have to do is emerge module-init-tools and afterwards you'll never need to again whenever you update your kernel as it is added to your world file.

but if i try to install modul-init-tools i get an error.
this package has problems with modutils, which is already installed.

if i try emerge -c sys-apps/modutils i get this:

>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.

emerge -c modutils doesn't work as well

what can i do now?

yes it would be listed as a "blocker" by portage. so has the error message been fixed?
