Install Gentoo?
Hi all i have a dual boot system with yoper and win xp and yesterday i get the two cds of Gentoo 2004.1 (livecd and packages) and i am thinking to install it with the two others.I want to put grub in a floppy so i don't have to write again in MBR and leave unchange my two other os.Anyway when i boot from the livecd all went ok with my devices but in my system i have one serial ata hard drive and with kernel 2.4.25 i don't seem to use fdisk to partitioning it.I see that there is an option for smp kernel which is 2.6 and i think this will support serial ata but i have one processor amd 3000+.What do you think any suggestions

You dont need to. You only need to edit your existing bootloaders configuration and add Gentoo's kernel to it.I want to put grub in a floppy so i don't have to write again in MBRHave a nice day
