    problems with kde

    hi !

    i just tried to install kdeadmin

    Code:
    emerge kdeadmin
    and i get this error

    Code:
    checking for extra includes... no
checking for extra libs... no
checking for libz... configure: error: not found.
          Possibly configure picks up an outdated version
          installed by XFree86. Remove it from your system.

          Check your installation and look into config.log

!!! ERROR: kde-base/kdeadmin-3.3.0 failed.
!!! Function kde_src_compile, Line 130, Exitcode 1
!!! died running ./configure, kde_src_compile:configure
    what can i do now?

    Not too sure, you could try an emerge unmerge libz && emerge libz kdeadmin. If that doesnt work you will want to check the bug tracker and forums @ gentoo.

    have you install kdelibs? if so, try re-emerging it.
    And make sure, is kdelibs 3.3.0
