    [SOLVED] another failure to emerge libusb

    I'm having problems installing libusb, very similar to a problem posted a few weeks ago, but the solution there doesn't seem to apply, as I'm not using any overlays. Here is the end of the build log, the actual compiling seems to work fine.
    Code:
    >>> Completed installing libusb-0.1.12-r1 into /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/libusb-0.1.12-r1/image/

    strip: i686-pc-linux-gnu-strip --strip-unneeded -R .comment
       lib/libusb-0.1.so.4.4.4
       lib/libusbpp-0.1.so.4.4.4

    And here is the output from emerge --info. Seemed to give useful information in the previous thread I mentioned, so maybe it will again?

    Thanks for reading this, I hope someone can figure out what is wrong.

    fixed...

    It's fixed. Just had to update portage. This was one of the first things I tried, but I didn't think to first run emerge --sync first.

    another failure to emerge libusb

    Yet another Casio Corporation innovation - the worlds first, and almost only, mp3 watch. ... and failure of the Casio Corporation in creating an MP3 playing wristwatch. .... emerge libusb. Do what you have to do for your Linux distro.
