help by managing files in a network
hi!
i want to see a movie that is in a share in my lan, so i mount it. But then when i tried to see it with mplayer, i get the error "file not found". I put "ls" and it is right there. And when i tried to copy it into my hd, i get the error "cp: cannot open `foo.avi' for reading: Permission denied".
What can i do?
Thx in advance

you very well might need root to copy things from a share to your personal space (my computer seems to need root for me). so:
-lakerdonaldCode:su - cp /mnt/share/movies/foo.avi /home/foo/movies
