not able to install libflashplayer.so into my browser

hi everybody

my problem is i cant get youtube or whatever flash videos to run inside my
browser ( Opera ).

im on freeBSD, and i've installed flashplayer4.x.x from the ports collection but they
didn't work either.

i went into adobe flash website to download the current package wich is flashplayer
10 in a tar.gz file. and whenever i try to decompress the file i get a broken
"libflashplayer.so" file. without the install-sh file they talk about in the other threads
i red.

i downloaded a good "libflashplayer.so" of flashplayer_v6 and tried to make "opera"
the browser to take it from the preferences but "NO" it seems like the file is not
ready yet to be recognized by the "opera".

they've also mentioned "nswrapper" but i couldnt get it from the ports.
AND I"VE HAD IT.

Try this

emerge -avu adobe-flash

Then follow the instructons for installing Flash into Opera.

Not sure why you posted in the Gentoo section of the forum.

Flash is a closed source program and adobe only distributes a linux binary.

Man, I need to start actually reading these posts a little better...I assumed Gentoo was being used and didn't even see the remark about using FreeBSD.

now im trying to locate the plugin folder of opera or firfox to put the libflashplayer.so in.
