NVidia 3D Drivers & 2.6.8-gentoo-rxx kernels
Please remember to disable the following,
- under "Kernel hacking" disable option:
- "Use 4kb for kernel stacks instead of 8kb"
(Of course before you compile the kernel.)
If you forget about it then the nvidia 3D driver might not work at all giving you a black screen when the X server is started and might crash your box.

It's in the gentoo handbook, and we all read it and follow it like slaves didn't we.... (/me looks innocent and as if he's never ever tried 4k stacks + nVidai drivers

emerge the latest nvidia drivers and the 4k stack problem is fixed.
