Yes, you need to follow the handbook religiously. for your own good..post your /etc/make.conf file and lets see what going on here.

i dont know what was the problem
i delate this all and start from the beginning and now is right, emerge --sync works fine...

Awesome, glad you got it working. I was thinking you only had an error in your /etc/make.conf file but whatever works for you.

i'm done, create all, reboot...
on boot choose gentoo and error comes up: cant read....
i give up.... maybe i try another time....
