y but book says that i must type "emerge --sync for update, i type this and message from previous post commes up.

i delate this all and start from the beginning and now is right, emerge --sync works fine...

i'm done, create all, reboot...
on boot choose gentoo and error comes up: cant read....
i give up.... maybe i try another time....
