Hello and Welcome.
I don't think you can install from the LiveCd/DVD,,,,,,you can use the LiveCD as an alternate intall method but you'll still have to follow the Gentoo handbook. Which part was too hard for you?I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Welcome to LinuxForums!

I've not installed Gentoo myself (no time for it yet), but I would advise having the Gentoo Handbook close at hand before you give it a go.
It really is one of the most well put together pieces of documentation I've yet to come across!Jay

I had a problem with the md5sums too so here is what I did. Just download the stage 3 and issue this command:
It'll spit out some numbers for you, which you must compare with the md5sum file that can be found in the same place that you downloaded the stage 3 fromCode:md5sum stage3-i686-20100126.tar.bz2

The stage 3 that you downloaded, it is a good download, I checked it myself.
When you downloaded the stage 3 from the internet, you should have seen some files with names like
Now, you downloaded stage3-i686-20100126.tar.bz2, so you need the DIGESTS file for this exact version of stage 3, so you would download stage3-i686-20100126.tar.bz2.DIGESTS and open it with a text editor, you will see the md5sum, that must match the output of the md5sum command.install-x86-minimal-20100126.iso 26-Jan-2010 07:16 101M

Not the stage 3 file,,,,,the DIGESTS file, it's located in the same place that you downloaded the stage 3 from....but anyhow you don't need to bother with that, it checks out okay. Just continue reading the handbook and move onto the next step from downloading the stage 3
