Hi people I've been struggling with it for a couple of days. I just installed gentoo from the LiveCD in a DELL XPS M1330 Laptop. It uses a Intel Core Duo 2 with an Intel Mobile(R) 965 Express family chipset. I've followd the manual of the Xserver installation from the gentoo site , when I try to test it wih X -configure or startx . The screen goes black, keyboard and mouse unresponsive. I must remove the battery to restart it . This is the Xorg.0.log file : ( I couldn't paste the whole file these are just the warnings and errors)
