Need help.. New to Linux

ok so i just finished installing Gentoo yesterday, and i was downloading a game so that i could have something to do at my dads since he doesnt have internet so i got supertuxkart, i logged in as root and typed emerge -v supertuxkart and it downloaded a bunch of stuff then i search my folders for it, i found a penguin titled supertuxkart, double clicked and nothing happened so i found a purple diamond titled the same thing and double clicked it and nothing happened... can anyone help me find what starts the game up or know anything about this problem?

To play games you need to be in games group.

i am in the game group but it still doesnt let me..

also, an entirely different problem.. but when i am logged in it doesnt let me log into root in the terminal.. do you have any knowledge for me on that?

If you start game in terminal - what's the error message?

Are you member of wheel group?
