-march flag for x86_64 CPU family
Hello everyone,
I intend to build gentoo distro for x86_64 architecture, and then to install it on several computers which have different CPUs, but I'm not sure which type of cpu would be suitable in this case to set in the option -marh of CFLAGS variable. Could you suggest me please, witch exactly flag of CPU should I use for building generic x86_64 architecture? I think it would be right to build system with "-march=generic" flag, what do you think about it is it right or not?
Thank you for any advices.
Sorry for my poor english
