    Installing Network from LiveCD

    I am having trouble installing my network from the Minimal LiveCD Gentoo Installation CD. I am using the onboard ethernet from my MSI K8N Neo Platinum and am wondering if i will need to modprobe to get my network to setup properly.

    Hi,

    If you modprobe your driver does it work then?

    Try setting up the card manually after modprob:ing it,

    ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

    then try ping:ing the address...
