    "waiting for lock on" message during bootstrapping

    Hello, I am bootstrapping from a livecd gentoo 2004.3.

    When having to emerge sys-devel/gcc-3.3.4-r1, it hangs on this message:
    Code:
    waiting for lock on /usr/portage/disfiles/.locks/gcc-3.3.4-brachupdate-20040623.patch.bz2.portage_lockfile
    and it won't go further. If I ctrl + z and compile again, it will stuck there again. Do you know how can I solve that ?

    chflags are:"-O3 -march=athlon64 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -msse2" if it might help

    I think it's solved.

    Code:
    rm /usr/portage/disfiles/.locks/gcc-3.3.4-brachupdate-20040623.patch.bz2.portage_lockfile
    Then I started the bootstrap again.
