    Gentoo live cd

I am trying to boot the live cd., the full version(587 MB)
I typed "gentoo", then it starts to boot up, stops at runlevel 3,
I typed "startx", command not found
I typed "init 5", then it says "switching to runlevel 5"
Then right after this I get
    *stopping input hotplugging
    *stopping pci hotplugging
    *stopping USB hotplugging
then I get a blinking cursor and it just hangs their

I do have a Logitech cordless optical USB mouse, could this be the problem?
Any help is appreciated, if more information is needed, let me know.

ummm.. there's no X server on a gentoo liveCD. they're used for installs only. (and a handy recovery disk.)

you can install stage3 though, and then, if you have the time, set it to recompile everything like this:
    Code:
    emerge -e world

I did read the manual, it says that their is a full version of Gentoo on the disk. To me that means a GUI, I was corrected.

And what is up with the CAPS LOCK. And what is "disponible"

    Apparently, it's nothing:

And just a note...'full version' can mean many different things to different people. To gentooers, a full version consists of everything you *need*, and X is not a necessity.
