    Error during Network configuration

    Hello! I've been following the handbook and I've run into some trouble. I just configured the fstab file and my hostname and I don't need DNS or NIS, So I just skipped to "Configuring the network".

    I installed "netifrc" and configured the "/etc/conf.d/net" file as follows:

    Code:
    # config_wlp2s0="dhcp"
    Now I run (wlp2s0 is the one I've been using during the installation):

    Code:
    # cf /etc/init.d
    # ln -s net.wlp2s0
    # rc-update add net.wlp2s0 default
    * rc-update: sevice 'net.wlp2s0 does not exist
    I am using a custom kernel configuration, I don't know if that's important. I've been following the handbook perfectly without errors. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Nevermind. The symlink I created was pointing nowhere.
