Does anyone know how I can get portage to merge java compiles using jikes or the newest sun-jdk as opposed to the default blackdown? While blackdown has done a wonderful job, suns GUI's are looking far better, and jikes (in the past) has been significantly faster (c/c++ base as I understand) especialy on the long compiles. It seems likely they are just env variables at some point in the line, im just not sure where.

EDIT: Got the sun-jdk installed, all the info for grabbing the package is stored in the ebuild, so its all cool. and i have added jikes to my use flag, but thats not going to affect merging as near as I can tell.
