(Solved)Gentoo network error, netmount not started, eth0?

emerging skge didn't work because it says it's not part of the ebuild. I also tried commenting out iface_eth0="192..." but that didn't affect anything.

The problem I'm having is getting the kernel's drivers to actually recognize my network adapter, not connecting to the internet. The livecd works just fine getting online.

Right now I'm trying to get new drivers and installing them manually.

Hey, I finally managed to get my install working working with my friend. The actual problem was a mistake in my GRUB config linking to the wrong kernel, so recompiling only affected the modules, but not the kernel I was loading. Therefore I saw differences when I recompiled, but nothing I did would fix that.

I'm in the same boat.

Everything's been working for over a year.

I did an env-update

and restarted sshd

then I was like lemme reboot, and my net.eth0 couldn't load.

Everything was compiled in the kernel.
