You''re welcome.
If you want more information about this check out Xbox Linux
It will tell you how to disable the protection on the Xbox.

Ive seen Gentoo installed on my mates Xbox.
It looked just the same as a computer except i had trouble reading the font on his TV.
The best thing for an Xbox is install Slayers: http://slayer.xbox-scene.com/
Once it's installed you can use your box to play mp3/ogg files, watch DIVX/DVD movies, display your jpegs as a slideshows.
You can for eg. have all your movie backups on your server and have the Xbox play them across the lan.
You can store games on the hard drive too so you dont need the disc in to play the game.
It's an amazing collaboration of software which really opens up what the Xbox can do

^^
actually, slayers just resets the hard drive, formats it, adds apps. To 'unlock it's potential' ( chip it or softmod it) look on www.xbox-scene.com , you can do it for pretty cheap ( softmod, but they aren't as stable as modchips).

Next stop will be to put a big hard disk in it.
I have 2 playstationII's and a GameCube and the Xbox beats them all!

There is a port of Debian sarge called Xebian ( or Ed's Debian) that looks pretty sweet, i think i might look into that too.
