    mouse and nvidia problem


    on my livecd my mouse works but just on the standard boot it will not how do you go about looking up what the device name and whatnot is for the mouse on the livecd? also i emerged the nvidia-glx and the drivers are installed and everything but whenever i try to use startx it says i do not have them i need more help...sorry for being such a newb at all this...

    In addition to emerging the drivers, you have to run 'modprobe nivida'. After that, you should be able to run xorgconfig and configure Xorg. Your mouse should be in /dev/input/mice.
