    DNS Probs


    Hello Guys,

    I was surfing the internet just fine... then "suddenly" the computer stoped accepting names such as google.com and would only work with IP address's and now im still having these problems do you guys have any ideas on how to fix this?

    Well i think you should check your
    Code:
    /etc/resolv.conf
    file

    nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    or 2 in there or if dhcp if it is in there then that means that your isp's dns has died/failed (ips's DNS servers are nortorios for not resolving) if you have a roter with DNS in it then the nameserver ip shourd be that of your router
