Yes, I'm familiar with the notes on the CD you are referring to, but I'll bet at least 9 out of 10 newbies won't bother to write that info down and once they are into the install they don't know what to do, so they'll give up. It's just easier in my opinion to have it all laid out in front of you from the beginning.
