Hi,
my wireless card is D-link AirPlus DWL-520+ so I want to install Gentoo, but I need to know is my wireless card compatible with Getnoo. If isn't, I'll have to keep the worst operative system, win XP. Please HELP ....

It may not work by default, but it should work under ndiswrapper.
Basically, you need to get your Windows drivers. Among them should be a .sys and a .inf file (same name). For example, mine are:
- bcmwl5.sys
- bcmwl5.inf
You put them on a USB key or something and bring 'em over to Linux.
Then, when you've installed Gentoo, you emerge ndiswrapper. Run:
Also, because it's not supported by default, if you want to do a Stage1 install, do it through Knoppix:Code:ndiswrapper -i bxmwl5.sys ndiswrapper -l <-- Your card should show up modprobe ndiswrapper

Knoppix has ndiswrapper in it, so you can enable Internet access and do the whole install.
