Kernel Panic
Okay I'm a noobie to Gentoo, I'm doing a stage 1 on a A64 off of a 2005.1 Live CD. I got all my software for a stage 1 installed. I compiled the kernel for Athlon64/Opteron. I booted into my Gentoo. When I try to Emerge Xorg I get this error =

This is what my make.conf looks like.
Also I am using the 2.6.12-gentoo-r10 sources to build this kernel.
Please help me!

Is it just xorg that does this? Can you emerge other things? The fact that the kernel is catching an MCE is idicative of hardware failure or overheating usually. I'd run memtest86 on the RAM in the box and check you temps to be on the safe side.
