    Emerging from freshmeat.net

How do I emerge from freshmeat? I want to use the program on this page:

    http://freshmeat.net/search/?q=%2Bft...361a2399cb8350

number 16, an ssl ftp program. Or does someone else know of a better ssl ftp program?

I tried downloading it, but all I get it the option tro run or view. I ran it but it didn't do anything. I don't think it compiles it.
    Thanks alot!

    From an emerge -s:
    * net-ftp/ftp
    Latest version available: 0.17-r3
Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
Size of downloaded files: 52 kB
    Homepage: http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~dholland...rs/netkit.html
Description: Standard Linux FTP client with optional SSL support
    License: as-is
From what I can see here:
    Code:
gentoo jaboua # emerge -pv ftp

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

    Calculating dependencies ...done!
    [ebuild N ] net-ftp/ftp-0.17-r3 +ssl 52 kB

Total size of downloads: 52 kB
You can add "ssl" to your USE-flags, and then simply emerge ftp. The SSL patch will then automaticly be applied.
