    quick question that i cant seem to find anywhere else

    yes it can, just use the extra commands under the alternative install on their website, i've installed it with slackware before...

    Yes.

    I should think you can run the installation through any Linux distro. Just you can't overwrite the one you're using (hence why Knoppix is best).

    Try following the same instructions as you would for Knoppix.
