Whatever. We're not here to pass judgement.
See if that file exists.

xmms /home/steven/Music/Rob Zombie/Rob-White Zombie - Living Dead Girl.mp3
The problem is that there are spaces in the filename, so the seperate words are being treated as seperate arguments. Try escaping the spaces (putting a backslash \ in front of em) or surrounding the file name with quotes:
xmms /home/steven/Music/Rob\ Zombie/Rob-White\ Zombie\ -\ Living\ Dead\ Girl.mp3
xmms "/home/steven/Music/Rob Zombie/Rob-White Zombie - Living Dead Girl.mp3"

i did that and it came up on bmp

i didn't know xmms could play vids, much less the more "exotic" vids

try running wmxmms and using the gui to select vids and see what happens. iirc bmp and xmms are built on the same engine so it's possible they're getting a little confused when you launch the app. Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
