- 12-02-2005 #21That's a good point cos I haven't done anything debian based. The only debian based distro I know anything about is ubuntu, which I don't really like the look of -- there seems to be slightly too much hand-holding involved. (First I offend Slackware users, now I've pissed off the ubuntu crowd -- I'm on a winner today, aren't I?

I think a weekend pretending to write my thesis, whilst browsing distrowatch and techiemoe's rants is necessary!!

Ah, don't get me wrong. Sorry my tone was a little
-sounding to you. I was just curious as to why Slackware?
But I am a little upset about being called Danchez, no matter what TV character he might have been. The name's DACHNAZ. And don't you forget it!

- 12-02-2005 #23Straight Debian is a lot of fun. I think you'd enjoy the Sarge ftp install. And with straight Debian, there is no hand holding.
