Gentoo shortcuts...RR4 or Litrix? (Or something else?)

I;ve installed Gentoo a few times before, found it a royal pain in the butt (yea I'm still a newbie) but I absolutely love Portage. Looked at Litrix and RR4, these seem like good alternatives to wasting a day installing normal gentoo and not knowing hot to fix anything. However, I'm not sure which one is better, because friends etc. have given me good and bad from both of these distros. So opinions on which is better for what and why, pros and cons, etc. Thanks!

You could always install any old Linux, download the portage tarball, and extract it. You may need to also get the Gentoo stage<whatever> tarball. But this may work

I don't know those distros so I can't offer any advice, but maybe we could help you fix your Gentoo problems??

Gentoo does have an installer now, look for the iso in the experimental section.

You could also check out vidalinux.

Or as smolloy suggested, we could look at your current gentoo problems.
