You could always install any old Linux, download the portage tarball, and extract it. You may need to also get the Gentoo stage<whatever> tarball. But this may work--Dachnaz [Fuzzy Llama]

Gentoo does have an installer now, look for the iso in the experimental section.
You could also check out vidalinux.
