    Need 3c905C [Tornado] support

    I have a dell optiplex gx240 with an onboard 3c905C [Tornado] NIC. I am trying to figure out which drivers to compile to get this card to work. Networking works from the live cd. How can I figure out which drivers the live cd uses for it?

    An lsmod command while in the live cd reveals that

    3c59x is in there

    mii is used by 3c59x.

    What is mii and where can I find that module to compile into my kernel?

    iirc, it'll be in

    Devices
    -> Network devices
    -> 3c59x It'll be one of the Few 3com devices listed in there,

    if you want to search for it, in the "make menuconfig" menu thing you have, press "/" and then type 3c59x and search for that, it'll show u exactly where the option is to turn it on/off etc
