    error after emerge syslog-ng

    i got this error after trying to emerge this file, is it something to do with variables configured incorrectly or what? do i have to emerge from gentoolive cd#
    or
    chroot livecd#
    hope the question makes sense i got big problem

    Well, what error did you get?

    I tried the following:

    which resulted in

    on my Gentoo based (Jackass! project) laptop. It was already installed (hence the R after ebuild) so I am assuming that all is well. Was this the same version that popped up for you?
