    Help Choosing

    Hello everyone. I've been searching for hours on the net about the best linux.
    I'm running AMD XP 2500+ Geforce4 mx4000 128. 1 gig Ram.
    Anyways, I play a lot of video games, search the web a lot (etc etc)
    Windows stops responding a lot, IE-Crash Game Crash etc.

    I'm intrested into learning how to use linux. (on a spare hard drive for pratice-test)

    My question is:
    How do I know which Gentoo to choose?
    alpha amd64 hppa ia64 ppc (32 bit) ppc64 sparc64 x86
    What are the diffrences? Which would be the best to install with?

    The versions: alpha amd64 hppa ia64 ppc (32 bit) ppc64 sparc64 x86 depend on the kind of processor you have.
    You have a AMD XP 2500+ which is a x86 processor - thus you should install the x86 'version' (platform it a better word for this case) of Gentoo.
