Dear all,

few days ago I got my laptop, an ASUS A6J-Q002H, on which I installed Gentoo.
The main problem is regarding the ATI Drivers for the SVGA, a Radeon Mobility X1600 with 256MB of dedicated RAM.
ATI doesn't support this new R530 chip, so I emerged unsuccesfully the latest ATI drivers (ati-drivers-8.22.5 now masked).
So I decided to use VESA driver instead, but I am unable to set the properly display resolution at 1200x800 because it seems not supported.

Any suggestions or idea?
