No offence, but if you made a new thread asking how to install Gentoo, Gentoo most likely isnt for you. Maybe try Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

woah, let's not say things that can't be taken back here! nobody deserves ubuntu forced on them

@Auron, the installation of gentoo depends on your linux experience. although there are people who successfully installed gentoo as their first distro it's reccomended you try something such as SuSE, Debian or even Fedora. if you've already got linux experience then by all means try Gentoo. just because you don't know how it's installed doesn't detract from your ability to install it. we all have to find out somehow
just make sure you get some command line experience under your belt and go for the minimal install, not the graphical.
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
