ugh trying something pretty impossable. need feedback on it.
Im trying to play a game called Stepmania on my ps2 ( a ddr kinda game)
now its hard to figure out so i heard that maybe i can do linux on my ps2 and load the game that way.
Is it possiable with any linux distro?
or possiable at ALL?

Yes you can install Linux on your PS2 :

that's awesome. but, is it possiable to just download like gentoo and put it to dvd and use a swapmagic on my ps2 and use it? or do i really need a harddrive for it.

hmmmmm. sounds like it will work like i would have to back up my memory card to be safe and SOMEHOW do it that way. that thing is. really i would rather just have a small linux that all it does is just load the kernal and what is needed and just have a script that it plays though and just loads the game it self. no clickin or anything just it starts. i feel like im asking to much but. its worth asking.
