dont want kde
i have -kde in my make.conf so it souldve discarded any kde apps but at the login screen i can login to kde, how would i completely get rid of kde and its apps, also enlightenment and fluxbox?

Make sure and put "-kde -qt -qt3 -qt4" in your /etc/make.conf file, and type
Let it recompile everything. Then:Code:emerge -avuDN world
Make sure and check everything before you hit enter and make sure that you aren't getting rid of anything that you want. If you are, you can either add the app to your world file, or re-emerge it later.Code:emerge -av C fluxbox enlightenment && emerge -av --depclean

Just because you use a distribution, doesn't mean everyone uses the same one.
There is no need to login to the GUI as root!
