    Gentoo emerge kde verification failed

    Hi there,

Having finally installed gentoo linux and been greated with the root command prompt I decided to install a window manager. Kde to be precise. Having left it over night to install using "emerge kde" i was disappointed to find digest verfication failed kdepim "got 1081 expected 1082" i also noticed it was checking the dependancy of a file which enede with "-r2" yet it complained about a file which was ending in "r3"

it's trying to install the latest version of kde which seems to be 3.5.2 (?)

is there anyway of either ignoring the error (if its wise) or forcing it to install another version.

All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL
