nope dont have an ati, stock intergrated card, anyways from how every one complains about it on here, i'd never waste my money on one

If it is integrated intel, then there is a how-to for gentoo to get direct rendering working.

Just because you use a distribution, doesn't mean everyone uses the same one.
There is no need to login to the GUI as root!
