    How can they come ?

    Hi folks,

    Gentoo amd64
    gnome-light

    Gnome-light desktop
    I just discovered a directory "Sound & Video" has been created under "Application".

    Software installed on this directory are;
    CD player
    Movie Player
    Recording level monitor
    Sound recorder
    Volume control
    Volume monitor

    How can they came? I did not install them.

    The packages installed by me manually are;
    gedit
    eix - a small utility tool

    On installing gedit I did not rum "emerge l gedit". I only ran "emerge gedit". It took quite some time to complete. Would it pull all of them?

    Tks.

    As I recall, Gnome isn't all separated like KDE is. So it's possible that some strange dependencies still exist in Portage.
