    ALSA and sound

    Hello,

So I emerged alsa-driver alsa-utils. Then I had to run alsaconf. Everything went smoothly without any errors.

However, even when I unmute everything, I cannot hear any sound. Any ideas?

A lot of apps are still using OSS. Try loading the alsa-oss module and see if that helps:
    Code:
    # modprobe alsa-oss
