    anyway this is my grub.conf
    title Gentoo
    root (hd0,6)
    kernel /boot/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.15-gentoo-r5
    boot

    i've re-edited grub.conf
    title Gentoo
    root (hd0,6)
    kernel /boot/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.15-gentoo-r5 root=/dev/ram0
    intrid /boot/initramfs-genkernel-x86-2.6.15-gentoo-r5
    boot
    i get this

    vdf -fs : no partition found (1)
    xfs: bad magic number
    xfs: sb validat failed
    kernel panic -non syncing :VPS:unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (1,0)
