    Building Xgl

    Hi folks,

    Gentoo_64
    gnome-light

    On building Xgl, I follow;
    Migrating to Modular X HOWTO
    http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/deskto...ar-x-howto.xml

    After running
    Code:
     # if [[ ! -L /usr/X11R6 ]]; \
    > then equery belongs /usr/X11R6 > ~/usr-x11r6-packages \
    > && rm -rf /usr/X11R6; fi
    I could not find the package list.
    # find / -name usr-x11r6-packages
    Code:
    find: /proc/6513/task/6513/fd/5: No such file or directory
    find: /proc/6513/fd/5: No such file or directory
    "usr-x11r6-packages" could not be found. Please advise.

    TIA

    Looks like your portage tree is incomplete. Try updating it or sync it.

    Hi apoorv_khurasia,

    Looks like your portage tree is incomplete. Try updating it or sync it.
    I ran twice;

    # emerge --sync
    Code:
    .....
    >>> Updating Portage cache:  100%
    Still can't find it

    # find / -name usr-x11r6-packages
    Code:
    find: /proc/6897/task/6897/fd/5: No such file or directory
    find: /proc/6897/fd/5: No such file or directory
