    How?

When you ask a question and find the answer yourself, it's always helpful to post the solution in case someone else has the same problem. Also, add [solved] to the title of the thread.

    hi

when i logged in as rood i was able to make directories. But as user i had no such permissions. This was solved when adding me on "wheel" group

BTW:i dont know how to add [solved] on title of thread...on daniweb you just had to "mark as solved"....
