    install problem..cannot use emerge

    ok im installing gentoo from minimall install cd.Ive alredy installed stages and portage.

    When trying to emerge something i get following error

    >>>downloading http.......
    ERROR PRASING PROXY URL HTTP://PROXY.SERVER.COM:PORT
    BAD PORT NUMBER
    im getting this error whole the time

    on begin of install i typed this

    Code:
    export http_proxy="http://PROXY.SERVER.COM:PORT
