what generates /etc/sysconfig?
I am a native Ubuntu user, and I have been tearing apart Kororaa (I believe Gentoo based) in order to make Beryl setup easier. I am trying to port mkxf86config.sh to Ubuntu, and some of the files referenced by mkxf86config are located in /etc/syscomfig. What startup script in Gentoo (Kororaa specifically) generates the data files in /etc/sysconfig? Thanks a bunch.

After some pretty extensive searching, I found the config file - /etc/init.d/autoconfig. The file is knoppix-autoconfig on Knoppix systems, and I believe it is a file of Knoppix origin. It does all of the sweet autodetection on Knoppix-based systems.
