Gentoo Internet stops working during installation...

I am using a net minimal version of Gentoo 2006.1 to install on my 64it computer. After following the installation handbook at gentoo.org, I chroot into the newly found enviroment, and try emerger gentoo-sources. To my surprise, the internet stopped working. It had worked for the entire process previous, but it suddenly stopped. I have DSL which uses DHCP through a router.

Any idea why it suddenly stops working?

    Thanks!

I fixed the problem by copying over dhcpcd to the hard drive before chrooting. I then used that to connect, download emerge, and then downoad dhcpcd properly. Now it somewhat works.

    Thanks
