The Fabulous (<- sarcastic) Windows Boot Loader

Hi! I LOVE Gentoo Linux and I used GRUB as my boot loader...however...i have just installed Windows XP and therefore it decided to install it's fabulous (and inadequate) boot loader too. I have tried to reinstall GRUB and it always tells me that it has successfully installed, however, when I reboot, the Windows Boot Loader takes over :(.

I guess I have 2 options:
1) Use the Windows boot loader and figure out how to get it to load Gentoo
or
2) Figure out why the GRUB install isn't actually working.

I have tried messing around with the Windows Boot Loader and I have searched a bit about what the problem might be...but no luck.

Can you post your partition table? and tell us exactly what you did during the grub install?

One thing i found from SuSE is that if you run the GRUB setup, there's one option you have to change, and that's tell it not to leave the MBR untouched. I guess gentoo could treat it differently to suse and YaST, but look for an option something like that
