how would i direct connect with gaim?
Wrong forum - You should post this in the Linux Applications forum. Make sure you've set Gaim to connect others with your external IP, and then right click on the person's name with whom you wish to connect and click "Direct IM." Hope this helps.

I mean external, heh, sorry. Go to a site such as http://www.ipchicken.com and put that in the correct area in your Gaim preferences.
